Elemental damage against a ranger with +100 elemental armor is a disadvantage

The added elemental damage from the Conjure element spells now ignores armor rating. The base weapon damage would still be elemental, so some foes would have higher or lower resistance to that particular element.

I like using vampiric bows because I can swap. Heroes can not. None of my heroes have vamp bows. I don't want them to stop doing their job to heal the degen.

Cracking armor will not bring it to lower then 60.

Elemental strings are a possibility in some places, but it's also very cumbersome when switching element type by switching bowstrings - though you can keep multiple bows around. Typically fire and cold types can be 'created' using Ranger skills like Kindle, (greater) conflagration and winter. You can have it all

Ever since they changed conjures to add damage in the same packet, yeah. Being bonus damage in the same packet, it can't be reduced by armor.
